IN 2025 WE’RE CRAVING COMFORT CONTENT

Ok, here’s the thing. I don’t want to make bold, sweeping statements about the year ahead, but I know one thing that’s certain.

We’re drowning in the avalanche of content out there. It feels like A LOT and it feels overwhelming. We don’t want to be shouted at and we don’t want to be sold to. Helped, yes. Sold to, no. (It may cost the same, but it feels very different.)

We want to have conversations with people we trust (even if we don’t actually know them, we want to feel that we know them.). This has lead to an obvious leaning towards comfort content.

Less shouty, more conversational. More values-driven and full of value. You know the feeling when you sit down over a cuppa with someone you really like, and you have a feeling that they just get you?

That’s the feeling you should be aiming for with your content – and your photos play a huge role in this.

So let’s make things easy. No more waiting for more time, inspiration, or to reach the perfect weight.

ARE YOU SUPPOSED TO PRIORITISE CONTENT CREATION OVER CLIENT WORK??

I think we’ve overcomplicated marketing and content creation, which leads to an all or nothing approach.

We’ve all been there – you’re heading into a busy season – launching a new offer, wrapping up client projects, or diving into your biggest sales period. You tell yourself, I just need to get this done first. I’ll post something later.

But then the days turn into weeks, and creating new content falls to the bottom of your to-do list. With no time to think about photos or captions, you end up ghosting your followers, promising yourself you’ll get back to them once things calm down.

Sound familiar? (Please tell me, it’s not just me!)

Here’s the real problem: the seeds we sow now won’t bloom until about three months from now. So when we disappear while we’re busy, we’re setting ourselves up for a future panic. When the busy season ends, and you suddenly need to fill your calendar with new bookings, you’re left scrambling for fresh content.

WHY SPONTANEOUS CONTENT FALLS SHORT

So while I’m all for making it easy to show up, I do think this is only possible when you have a plan.

Spontaneous content can be fun and it definitely has its place, but relying on it comes at a cost:

  • Missed opportunities to show up consistently when your audience is paying attention.
  • Disjointed branding that doesn’t communicate your values or message.
  • Stress and overwhelm when you realise you need new photos… like, yesterday.

Your visuals aren’t just there to look pretty — they’re powerful tools for communicating your story, your personality, and your values to your audience. They’re how you build trust and attract the right clients.

When your visuals feel cohesive, professional, and intentional, they send a powerful message: You’re reliable and serious about what you do. This trust needs to be established before someone will book you.

I’m pretty sure you didn’t start your business hoping to spend more time on your marketing and content creation than doing your actual job. What I really want for you this year is to get your message heard by the right people – with ease and integrity. I want you to have time and energy over to focus on doing the work you love – and actually living your life!

WHY A STRATEGIC CONTENT PLAN MATTERS

With a strategic plan in place, you can:

  1. Stay visible—even when you’re busy: Having a library of planned visuals means you can post confidently without scrambling for ideas.
  2. Spend less time on content: Instead of working on your marketing all the time, you can focus on what you do best—helping your clients.
  3. Align your visuals with your brand stories & goals: Whether you’re promoting a launch, growing your email list, or connecting with your audience, your photos will feel intentional and on-brand.
  4. Maximize every session: Rather than just picking my favourite locations and taking pretty pictures without a goal in mind, I want you to walk into each shoot with a plan to get the variety you need—different expressions, angles, outfits, and settings that work across platforms. The kind of details that make sense for you, that help to strengthen your message and tell your story for you.
  5. Avoid the feast-or-famine cycle: By staying consistent now, you’ll ensure your audience is engaged and ready to book when they need you most.

THE SUBSCRIPTION SOLUTION

This year, I’m introducing something that will make staying visible so much easier and even more impactful: a Visual Brand Story Planning Session included with my Yearly Subscription.

I always include a strategic planning session before my shoots, but this year I’m diving even deeper with my subscription clients. I’ll start by sending you some questions to get you started, and then we’ll have an online planning session over a cuppa.

Here’s how it works:

  1. We start with a deep dive into your brand. What’s your message? Your values? What do you want clients to feel when they see your photos? What brand stories will strengthen your message and resonate with your ideal clients?
  2. We map out your year. Together, we’ll create a plan for strategic photo shoots tailored to your website, social media, marketing campaigns, launches, course creation. Whatever you have planned for the year.
  3. We capture it all. With three photo shoots spaced throughout the year, you’ll have a steady stream of visuals that feel fresh, authentic, and perfectly aligned with your brand.

The goal? To help you spend less time working on your content so you can focus on what matters most—your clients. You’ll have everything you need to attract the right people, without the hassle or overwhelm.

Something that has surprised a lot of my clients is not just the way their business shifts and grows throughout the seasons, but how they personally grow from the first session to the third. Their confidence grows and they get more clarity – in themselves and their business – and it shows in their photos!

WHAT DO YOU GET WITH THE YEARLY VISUAL BRANDING SUBSCRIPTION?

Depending on where you’re at in your business and your goals for the year, you might want the all-inclusive Brand Story Subscription, which includes 3 Brand Story Photo & Film Sessions within a year. From each session you’ll get: 30 photos, 15 vertical video clips (perfect for IG reels and stories) and 3 horizontal web banners.

If your aim is to build a photo library to update your website, create lead magnets and maintain a consistent social media posting schedule, the Brand Boost Subscription might be a better option. This is a smaller (but mighty!) package that includes 3 half-day Brand Boost Photo Shoots in the year and you get 30 photos from each shoot (which means that for each year you subscribe, you expand your image library with 90 photos that are tailored just for you and your brand!).
